Spring Teas for the Entire Family

Spring is a time of newness and invigoration when the earth begins to wake up after a long winter nap. Families are finally able to go outside without layers of clothing and the slight warmth of a spring breeze brings a feeling of renewed energy. Every season is accompanied by a bouquet of smells and flavors, experiences that seem new to us every year.

Spring teas are one way that you can share this season with your friends and family, so start your kettle and keep reading for a few of our favorite brews.

Hibiscus Tea

If you’re ready to dust off your patio furniture and sit outside with a cup of tea, you truly can’t go wrong with the clean, citrusy flavors of hibiscus. Hibiscus teas have been shown to boost health on number of different fronts. A cup of hibiscus tea each day can bring balance to the blood, boost immunity, support a healthy metabolism, and may help calm nervous disorders.

To brew hibiscus tea for yourself, steep loose tea or a tea bag in a mug of hot water for 5 minutes and enjoy the gorgeous crimson color. Serve either hot or cold and steep with honey for a bit of sweetness.

Our Recommendation: We love Organic Hibiscus Tea from Gaia Herbs. This unique and colorful tea is made from organic hibiscus and mandarin orange peel essential oil for a tangy fragrance you’ll go back to again and again.

Teas with Sinus Support

Spring may be a time for lovely flowers and free green buds, but for many it’s a time of sneezing, itching, and seasonal health issues. Certain blends of herbs and botanicals can bring relief, reducing sinus issues and providing a comforting experience. The right cup of tea can not only bring relief for seasonal symptoms but can boost your immune system, ensuring you can ward off whatever germs you pick up on your dash to the store or jog around the neighborhood.

Our Recommendation: If you’re looking for a tea that provides sinus support, try Sinus Comfort Tea from Gaia Herbs. This tea contains a gentle, botanical aroma of rosemary leaf and sage, as well as oregano, thyme, and marshmallow root. This blend of effective herbs offers calming support for your sinuses and senses no matter what the spring pollen throws your way.

Spring Tea Blends

Spring teas don’t have to contain only one ingredient alone. Some of our favorite teas are a delicate blend of herbs which merry together for delicious drinking experience. Citrus notes often blend well with minty herbs to create a balanced experience. Many tea blends are perfect for all ages and can be enjoyed any time of the day or night. There are even teas that help you sleep!

Our Recommendation: For an all day sipping tea your entire family will enjoy, Easy Day Tea from Mountain Rose Herbs. Containing a blend of Blackberry, peppermint, snd lemon balm, this tasty blend is sure to be a hit!
