Okie Suds is a soap company in Boswell, Oklahoma. Made in Oklahoma! We are dedicated to bringing products that are moisture packed and good for your skin. 100% biodegradable, Vegan, and super moisturizing! We use sustainable oils so you can feel good every time you use our bars. We love animals and DO NOT test on them.
Our products contain some awesome ingredients and a shoe in for gifts for teachers, nurses, students and the hard to shop for. We have several all natural bars which contain essential oils.
We just made Fresh Snow in Oklahoma today. It will be available for sale on October 20, 2013. There is limited quantity, it will be on a first come, first serve basis. Once they are gone, they are gone for the 2013 holiday season.
Topped with Jojoba beads (which are biodegradable), these bars mimic real life snow, capturing the beauty of crystal topped pure snow. The reason snow is blue has to do with the light that it reflects. White light truly is all the colors of the rainbow, snow reflects blue hues and gives us the impression of blue in some places.
The scent of this is a clean smell, like you just stepped in a snow covered meadow. It mimics fresh laundry or clean cotton.

Okie Suds
What do you do when you have no time on your hands? You create something else! I have just launched www.okiesuds.com . I wanted to make a soap for the environmentally conscious person as well as the wild girl at heart! For example my Rosemary Mint is wrapped in zebra and hot pink tissue paper! This is my new, handmade soap that you can purchase for five dollars a bar.
It's OK to go WILD with soap!
All soap is now in the curing phases and will not be available until August to my amazing customers but you can still pre-order your soap today.
Check out some of these amazing pictures and ...did I mention... My house smells amazing?
Okie Suds is also on Facebook at www.facebook.com/okiesuds and on Twitter www.twitter.com/okiesuds. I will be doing some promotional giveaways throughout the year so like my page and check back often as we are always creating!

Lemon sugar scrub
This is a very easy and inexpensive way to give gifts during the holiday season. Not only is it beneficial to keep your skin looking impressive during the sluggish winter months but also it is a great gift for busy gardeners and cooking enthusiast friends.
For starters lemon is a very clean scent that takes yucky smells off of your hands in the kitchen. Put a jar of this by the kitchen sink to remove scents such as fish and onions.
In addition, the sugar gets tough dirt off of your hands and nails. A busy day in the garden can lead your hands to cracking being submerged in dirt and water all day. Give this to your gardener friend for a gentle exfoliant that leaves your hands smooth.

The recipe:
1 cup sugar
1-2 lemons
1/4 cup olive oil
How simple and natural!
I take some of the lemon rind by using a cheese grater and rubbing some of the rind off and set into a bowl.
1 cup of sugar
1/4 cup olive oil
I mix the olive oil into the sugar and mix into a large bowl.
I cut the ends off of the lemon.
Then I slice it in half and extract some of the seeds.
I then squeeze the lemon (or two) into the bowl of rind. As you can see I didn't use too much rind. If you want more, you can add as much as you want, up to two tsp.
I add the lemon juice and rind into the sugar and oil mixture.
The end result is a little less than a half jar of scrub. This happens to be a spaghetti jar (reuse these things, they are so useful for storage).
Refrigerate in between uses. Use within a month. Happy exfoliating!
